Kelly and Steve’s Ballroom at Ellis Preserve wedding was the perfect way to kick off the second half of wedding season! Kelly was referred to me from one of my past brides (yay thanks Taylor!) and I instantly knew we would get along great. I met Kelly for coffee last year and we chatted for over an hour about life, wedding planning and everything in between! Her and Steve have been together for close to ten years and they met when they were students at Haverford High School. Kelly has great style, so I knew her wedding day would be perfect, and it totally was!

About the Ellis Preserve:

The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve is one of Finley Catering’s newest wedding venues and let me tell you … it is breathtaking! I was in contact with one of the coordinators, Jennifer, and she was so sweet and constantly checked in with us as we walked around the property during portrait time. This new venue is located in Newtown Square and is a complete hidden gem! The large gray columns in front of the building allow for a wonderful neutral background for photos and the inside is completely WHITE which is a photographer’s dream come true! The ballroom is in the center of the building and the cocktail hour space flows well on either side of the ballroom. The ceilings are very high, which allows everything to feel very grand and luxurious! The dance floor is large and there is a bar inside the ballroom and also in the cocktail hour space. Kelly and I met prior to the wedding to scope out the best portrait locations and we got a great variety of shots on her special day! Since everything is very neural at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, the possibilities are endless for decor! Kelly and Steve kept it super simple with silver accents — it was great!
