There’s something so timeless and enchanting about garden engagement sessions—especially at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Delaware. For Natalie and Patrick, this historic estate set the perfect scene for a romantic and editorial-inspired summer session.
Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley, Winterthur Gardens is one of my favorite hidden gems for engagement photos. With its lush greenery, stone pathways, and soft summer blooms, it created a dreamy, European garden feel—right here in the heart of Delaware.
Natalie and Patrick wanted a look that felt romantic and elevated, and they delivered that and more. Natalie wore two stunning dresses—a soft pink gown that added a pop of color against the garden greens, and a classic white dress for a timeless bridal feel. Patrick looked sharp and sophisticated in a tailored suit, bringing a polished balance to the session.
We spent the golden hour exploring some of the most scenic corners of the garden: from the meadows to the reflecting pool and the iconic sundial garden. Every frame felt like a page out of a storybook.
If you’re planning your engagement session and dreaming of a backdrop that’s both romantic and refined, Winterthur Gardens is a stunning option—especially in the summertime when everything is in full bloom.
