Yesterday I was a vendor at a small bridal show down at the Independence Seaport Museum at Penns Landing and it went great! I have done a few shows in the past and I thought I would give it another try! I knew I wanted my table/booth area to be super feminine and rustic to draw the attention of my ideal client and I think it definitely worked :) I walked in and saw there were a lot of other photographers setting up and I got really nervous. I didn’t have a huge lighting display or dramatic cloth backdrops — I had a simple slideshow, some sample albums, pricing info, and large prints. That’s it! I noticed that a lot of the other vendors had a different approach than me too. I wanted people to come to me… not the other way around. I don’t like forcing conversations or giving a mindless sales pitch. I would rather talk with five people rather than 500. Call me crazy, but I prefer quality over quantity!
Here are a few photos of my table! But first, here’s a list of everything I purchased and where it came from — hope this list helps any other photographers looking to participate in a bridal show :)
