This family of three has a special place in my heart. Kyle’s mom reached out to me asking to photograph her son, his wife Julia and her grandson Jayden and of course I instantly said YES! I met them last week at Robbins Park in Ambler and we had a wonderful time walking around and getting to know each other. This park has special meaning to them because it’s where they got married a few years ago :) It was gorgeous. We were chatting about a bunch of things and I found out that they didn’t have a professional photos from their wedding… and that really hit me hard. Julia and I have similar family backgrounds so we instantly felt connected — it was weird yet comforting haha! Even though the primary focus of our time together was for family photos… I knew I needed to get some shots of just Kyle and Julia. Meeting this family and hearing their story makes me understand the power of photographs. At the end of the day, my job as a photographer is so much more than just pushing a button … it’s about serving people. Life is short and being able to document other people’s lives has been such a blessing.
